Upcoming Change in Leadership at MEEA

Jay Wrobel pictureOn September 24, 2010, the MEEA Board of Directors named current Director of Programs, Jay Wrobel, as Acting Executive Director effective November 11, 2010. This move was needed in anticipation of the departure of Wendy Jaehn.

Wendy announced her resignation in September to pursue new career challenges. Wendy joined MEEA in 2001 and guided the organization as Executive Director with much success for the last four years. A national search for a new Executive Director will begin in October 2010. [download position announcement here]

Jay currently oversees all of MEEA's program areas, including training, emerging technologies, best practices and promotes the establishment of regional utility and state funded programs throughout the Midwest. He has more than fourteen years of experience in the energy and environmental field and has been with MEEA since 2007.

MEEA continues to be the source for energy efficiency matters in the Midwest, and one of the nation’s leading energy efficiency organizations. MEEA’s dedicated and experienced staff will work to ensure a smooth transition for our members, and will continue to serve MEEA’s mission through our program and policy work.
