Louisville Gas & Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities (LGE KU)

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company, part of the PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) family of companies, are regulated utilities that serve a total of 1.2 million customers and have consistently ranked among the best companies for customer service in the United States. LG&E serves 321,000 natural gas and 397,000 electric customers in Louisville and 16 surrounding counties. Kentucky Utilities serves 546,000 customers in 77 Kentucky counties and five counties in Virginia.

AES Indiana

AES Indiana, an AES Company, provides retail electric service to more than 490,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Indianapolis, as well as portions of other Central Indiana communities surrounding Marion County.

Xcel Energy is a major U.S. electricity and natural gas company, with operations in 8 Western and Midwestern states. Xcel Energy provides a comprehensive portfolio of energy-related products and services to 3.3 million electricity customers and 1.8 million natural gas customers through its regulated operating companies. East Kentucky Power Cooperative

EKPC is a not-for-profit electric utility with headquarters in Winchester, Ky. EKPC generates and transmits wholesale energy to 16 owner-member cooperatives. The owner-member cooperatives distribute that energy to more than 1 million Kentucky citizens across 87 counties. Together, EKPC and the owner-member cooperatives are known as Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives.

Duke Energy, which recently merged with Cinergy Corporation, is a diversified energy company with a portfolio of natural gas and electric businesses, both regulated and non-regulated, and an affiliated real estate company. Duke Energy supplies, delivers and processes energy for customers in North America and selected international markets. Duke Energy provides franchised electric and gas service, natural gas transmission, midstream natural gas, wholesale electric generation, energy marketing, real estate, and telecommunications services.

DTE

DTE Energy Co. (NYSE: DTE) is a diversified energy company involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Our largest operating subsidiaries are Detroit Edison and MichCon. Together, these regulated utility companies provide electric and/or gas services to more than three million residential, business and industrial customers in Michigan. Our electric and gas utility businesses have each been in operation for over a century.

Consumers Energy

Created by its members as a not-for-profit joint-action agency in 1977, Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (SMMPA) utilizes a diverse energy mix of renewable energy, coal, and natural gas-fired generation to provide reliable electricity in an environmentally sustainable manner to its 18 member utilities and the 127,000 customers they serve.  SMMPA also works with its member utilities to develop, promote, and implement award-winning programs to help customers use energy wisely and help protect the environment.  SMMPA plans to reduce their CO2 emissions by 90% from 2005 level
