Market Transformation

The energy efficiency industry is constantly discovering new ways to save energy, whether through new technologies, new types of services or new program designs. These emerging concepts or products often face serious challenges to market entry due to price, fuel switching barriers, consumer awareness, complexity and status quo inertia.

Market Transformation Collaborative

To help overcome these market adoption barriers, MEEA is currently partnering with Resource Innovations to build a market transformation collaborative in the Midwest. The collaborative serves as a forum for utilities to bring measures from emerging technology or R&D programs to their customers at an accelerated adoption rate using market transformation best practices taken from the Northwest.

Any utilities located in the Midwest are encouraged to join the collaborative. Members will have the opportunity to join on to different market transformation initiatives to help pool resources, such as costs and time, to increase adoption rates and claim lasting energy savings.

If you’re interested in joining the collaborative, contact Molly Graham at mgraham@mwalliance.org.
