Panel Description: Regulators, utilities, and asset owners need to work hand-in-hand to ensure resource adequacy and meet reliability requirements as MISO decarbonizes. As the power system changes, demand response (DR) and energy efficiency (EE) programs are necessary to stabilize load and plan for future load growth, as MISO models fill the gaps with demand side resources. This panel will delve into the challenges of balancing DR and EE with clean energy penetration, reliability, resilience, resource adequacy, and grid operations.
