While MEEA is a membership-based organization, we focus not only on our members but in bringing energy efficiency to all of the consumers within our 13-state footprint. This section of our website will provide consumers with state-specific information on utility energy efficiency programs in their state, links to consumer and ratepayer advocacy organizations that protect their interests, energy efficiency tips, and help finding qualified contractors to do energy efficiency upgrades.
MEEA's Consumer Resources include:
- Midwest States - state-specific energy efficiency resources for consumers in each of MEEA's states;
- Efficiency Tips - easy efficiency tips to help stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter and to save energy all year long; and
- The Participating Energy Efficiency Contractor (PEEC) Network - contractors trained by MEEA in the latest energy efficiency practices for HVAC, Insulation, and Plumbing (currently available only for the Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas service territories in Northern Illinois)
You will also find great resources for consumers in our Links section, especially under the "Products and Services" header, including services that can help you find contractors to replace windows, sources for lightbulbs and other energy efficiency products, design services, and more!
Contact information for the PEEC Network is available on that page; for questions about our other Consumer Resources, please use the "Contact Us" link in the bottom navigation bar of this site.
